PLEASE REFER TO THE BROKER COMMENTARY PAGE FOR UPDATES!! Where does wind come from? By definition, “Wind is created by uneven heating of the Earth’s surface, which leads to differences in air pressure. Warm air rises, creating areas of low pressure, while cooler, denser air sinks, creating areas of high pressure. Air then moves from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure to equalize the pressure, resulting in wind.” World temperatures have been setting modern day records. This warming creates conditions where pressures rise and when that happens there is more pressure to equalize which is what results in more wind. I believe that we are seeing an increase in wind intensity and more red flag warnings than I can remember historically… borne out by the data gathered by NOAA. Note that we are seeing record spikes in wind speed going back decades. I tested out the wind here with a new flagpole put in last fall that has been doing a lot of bending but has not broken yet. The weather has become another ideological flashpoint as the administration is attempting to cleanse NOAA of references to global warming and climate change along with disassociation of the changing climate with the increasing…
